It hasn't hurt. All the vacationing was starting to be a bit much.

Yeah, vacation isn't something I'm used to. Like having something to do.

I haven't had a vacation since I was in school.

There were certainly quiet moments, before everything, but vacation in that sense? Not something I've ever really had.

Most of my vacations were visiting family. So I guess it wasn't all that interesting.

Might be more then what we did during the slow days, which was meditating and trying to understand the Force. Or the Code.

I don't think I've heard much about the Force.

The simplest way to explain it is that it is. Both Jedi and Sith try to quantify it, more to make sense of it then anything because it's in any sentient creature's nature to try and do that to something they can't really grasp. My explanation is mostly that it has a will, and a sense of humour.

It sounds very interesting. Can everyone in your world sense it or use it? Or is it just Jedi and Sith? I'm not sure what the difference is.

Being able to use the Force doesn't make you Sith or Jedi, but no not everyone can. Some people just can't connect to it.

It sounds different from magic. Similar, but different. I was born with magic. There are people who see that differently.

How do you mean, exactly?

(Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

[info]echoesofthepast

There are some that believe that the purity of one's blood is important. That those without that purity are thieves for having something they acquired at birth the same as the rest of us. I've never felt that magic belonged to anyone. At least not in a way that meant treating those who were born to families without magic any less than the rest of us.

Tonks told me a bit about that yeah, it still sounds like a lot of nonsense. You'd think having magic would make it all the same. Sorry for all that. shouldn't matter if your blood's pure or not.

I never came up against any issues personally, but I had plenty of friends that did. I don't think I'll ever understand why it was so important.

Yes, I think so too. What have you been up to?

Work at the base now, so mostly that. Meditation and getting used to the new hand in between getting T3 and Mimik used to each other. How about yourself?

Working up at the base. Figured that with everything, being picky about my skill sets wasn't the best choice.

I'm the shift before you so that might be why. Plus my habit of keeping to myself. Working on the latter. Doing the same though.

It'll be good. I'll bring T3. Would she be okay with Mimik? Will understand if not, but if I'm making friends I'd like him to as well.

I think she might do that doggy head tilt thing, but she's a friendly dog. She doesn't scare easy, either.

[info]force_wound

He's a bit shy, but he likes making friends. Much like me he's not always sure how but him and T3 are getting along pretty great. He might try and pet Sasha but if she's not ok with it I can explain to him he has to go slow.

She got used to the Pokemon while we were there briefly, and she doesn't mind my Pikpek Sam.

We can try it out. If she gets scared, I'll rub her belly.
