I can assure you Eleanor that I am not responsible for this.

If anyone else were running this as The Bad Place they'd use the more traditional torture methods such as the various hot dog torture departments, or demons shoving their hands down humans' throats grabbing their butts from the inside and turning them inside out, for example.

No, this appears to be an alternate dimension that has somehow brought pieces of the worlds with us from whence we came.

Technically, Janet and I do not require "a place to stay" as we do not have your same mortal needs. I "woke up" seated on a park bench. I imagine Janet is still able to access her void. Or not.

Yeah, from where I lived in the afterlife. It's colorful on the outside, and the interior has clown paintings and this giant clown mural type panel that closes over where the bed is.
