The days and dates can really slip past you while on this cruise.

Today is Palm Sunday.

This coming Friday, Good Friday. Saturday Night is the beginning of Passover, and next Sunday is Easter.

I should've explained this when I wrote my post.

Where I'm from, and on various alternative Earths, there is a religion called Christianity. It was founded by Jesus Christ, whose followers, such as myself, believe He is the Son of God. He taught people to love one another, and performed many miracles. To make a long story short, Palm Sunday is the day He entered the city of Jerusalem - the people welcomed him by waving palm leaves and spreading the leaves on the road before Him like a carpet. This is particularly significant because it was propagandized in scriptures that this would occur, and gives validation of Christ's identity.

Good Friday observes the day He died, and Easter celebrates the day he was resurrected. Not is a zombie back from the dead sort of way, but in a glorified, spiritual body. His death was a sacrifice, because we as mortals come short of God's glory, but by believing in Jesus' sacrifice we can go to heaven.

	I am from earth but I have never heard of any such thing. My people worshipped the sea. The other Clans had other beliefs. It was usually the earth itself that we gave thanks to. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Not all Earths are the same. There's a possibility you might come from a time before Jesus was born? Or even from an area where Christianity hadn't spread? So you worshiped nature, directly? Did you celebrate any holidays? (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Okay, so you came waaaaaay after. Sounds like Christianity ~~has disappeared~~ is not as prominently known as it is in my year. Easter is also considered a Spring celebration holiday. With rabbits, lambs and baby birds, colored eggs and candy. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	I wish I could say yes, but right now things are a little rough on the ship, especially with food. I don't think we have the eggs to spare to decorate. But I'll tell you what! Once everything is alright, and back to normal, I will personally make sure you get to color eggs and get a GIANT Easter basket full of chocolate and jellybeans. Is that a deal?
