They are antennae. I am an empath and my antennae light up when I sense others emotions. What do you mean by "symmetrical aesthetic"?

Really? I am still working on mine, as well! I do not understand many customs and I enjoy learning from others. I do not know my home planet. Ego found me when I was in a larvae state. He raised me and I lived with him on his planet. I traveled with him through the galaxy and saw many other planets.

Yes. It has been brought to my attention that I need to work on my communication skills. I don’t experience feelings so I can’t understand all of their reactions to my behavior.

How extraordinary. I have traveled to many planets as well. Are there other people like you on this ship? With emotion sensing antennae?

That is sad. I learn by experience others' emotions. It is deeply satisfying.

I did not leave Ego's ship often. He had me stay on the ship while he worked. I believe I am the only one of my kind. I have never met others like me. It is not my antennae that sense emotion, it is me, I am overcome with the emotion someone feels above the others. My antennae only light up when I sense emotions. I also have to make physical contact with someone to sense their emotions.

It isn’t sad for me. But it does pose difficulties for learning through experience.

Do you find it difficult being the only one of your kind? There are many Davids, but I was the first. My creator said that made me different, but I’m not so certain. We were built to be the same. Why do you think you have this ability when others do not? Do you like being able to feel other people’s emotions?

At times, I do. It would be nice to learn more about my kind and where I am from. You were created? You are an artificial being? I do not know the answer to that. I can only assume that perhaps others of my kind obtain the same ability, but I cannot know for certain without meeting one. I do like it, yes. It helps me learn about others.

Can you explain what it feels like to experience someone else’s emotions? That sounds like it could be distressing. Isn’t it overwhelming?

I am uncertain how to explain the sensation. I am simply overcome with whatever emotion someone is feeling. It is how I learn. Sometimes it can be overwhelming, such as when someone is very sad or angry.

It is how I understand the emotions of others, yes. Ego did not allow me to use my ability very often, until I met the Guardians who allowed me to feel their emotions. Well, some of them allowed me to.

No, they are very similar. I am happy much of the time. I used to be very sad when I was with Ego, but I am no longer sad.

It is preferable, yes. Ego is gone, so I am very happy. He was not nice. He was trying to take over the galaxy and the Guardians defeated him. I helped them by putting him to sleep. They allowed me to stay with them on their ship. Many of them are here with me.

Did all of you arrive together? No one came here with me. I am alone.

I am glad that you no longer have to feel sadness. You have an impressive gift. I would like to be able to feel someone else’s emotions. I am unsure as to the effects it would have on my systems, but it would be a very interesting experience nonetheless.

I don’t have a lot of experience making friends. That is not a common component of my assigned duties. Although, I usually get along well with my crew mates. Most of them. Some are uncomfortable with synthetics.

It’s not in my programming to feel emotions. But I can express a variety of different feelings.

I did not before I met the Guardians. I believe you should try to make friends. They are enjoyable to have around. Some people are uncomfortable with me because of my ability, so I do not touch people unless they allow me to.

I will do my best, but I cannot predict a high hope of success. Apparently there is something troubling about my face. However, if you believe that it might encourage a change in their disposition towards me then I will ask people if they will be my friends.

On a side note, what is it we are intended to do at these ports?

I do not know what would be troubling about your face. It seems fine to me. I enjoy the friends I have made. I am sure you will do the same.

At the last two ports we explored and met the people who lived there. Many people seemed to have bought many items as well.
