Considering how fairy tales tend to go, I think I'll remain to what passes for safety. Besides, being unable to go to many places does take some fun out of it.

Shall I go ashore as the wolf, my Master?

I think not.

Not even for one night?

For one then.

Would you like to investigate while I am there, determine whether your safety can be assured?

If you like, but keep in mind the lands. I think safety might be a big word there.

I am aware of the tales, Master. I am a monster in one of my own, after all.

True. I am curious to what might be found, and it seems like this journey might be following a trend. Fantastical and mythical places that both exist and yet not. Does make one curious what will be next.

Perhaps Romania.

That has the possibility of being interesting.

More than a possibility, I'd say.

Even if it should not be one you're familiar with?

Would that not by its very nature make it interesting?

You have a point there.

Were it my Wallachia, or its approximation, I would show you all of the lands' most beautiful sights, as they were before the modern era of machines touched them.

I can accept that as passes for safety, although I don't think I'll linger.

The lure of learning the magic of Merlin is very appealing.

Hopefully, without the part where you're stuck in a tree for a bit.

Oh, you mean when Merlin was trapped inside a tree? It'll be just my luck for that to happen.

You'd have to get me out, then.

I'd advise to be cautious of anyone who looks a touch too good to be true then. And anyone named Nimue.

Have no fear though I will ensure you escape, should it occur.

That ought to be a standard warning anywhere you go. You mean the Lady of the Lake? The brochure does state to stay away from lakes, since she's not as nice as she once was. I wonder what happened to change her?

I know you would. Let's only hope that it doesn't.

There's legends she was that, and also what passes for an Arthurian version of a happy ending. At least for Merlin. And I'd wager that 'nice' is a matter of opinion. Creatures like that often have their own definitions.

Yes, lets.

I imagine most of it is seeing places that, for many of them, would never be places they'd see.

Yeah, but they're just stories.

[info]evening_epitaph
2018-03-06 01:06 am UTC (link)
True, but for others it's very possible that because they're just stories it makes it more exciting to be able to visit places like this. Even I will admit to some curiosity on seeing at least Camelot.
