As I cannot be pulled back into it with a single text, it is not too great a hardship. I come from a country with representative democracy split into three branches: the legislative, the executive, and the judicial. The legislative branch writes and passes laws, the executive branch implements and supports those laws, and the judicial branch interprets them. My family is well off and has been involved in politics professionally and near it for many generations. My mother, most recently, was elected to represent our district in our state in the House of Representatives. They have short terms, only two years, so there is hardly a break in the campaigning, and as her son, part of her immediate family, my presence and involvement is required.
