Okay, listen. Before you blow this out of proportion any farther, here's what I'm actually doing and saying.
First of all, I have extensive experience with angels. Good, bad, and in between. My very first assumption when I realized Michael was actually a powerful celestial being was that he probably had made a mistake, because he does seem to have trouble adjusting to being around humans while they're alive, and I offered to help him adjust. I have a really good friend who is an angel, and I've taught him a lot about being around humans.
Unfortunately, I also have experience with the bad kind of angels - the kind that harm and kill people at will, just because they imposed their righteous angel judgment on them. Even the kind that set out to destroy all of humanity and the Earth along with them.
So does that make me extra paranoid about what this new kind of angel might do? Yes. Does it mean I'm about to go and kill him? No. Even when the actual devil showed up from my world and was possessing my friend's body against his will, people like you decided that everyone here gets a chance, and I went along with it. Naturally, because he was the actual devil, it blew up in everyone's faces.
But I'm still not trying to make a case for us to kill him. I do, however, have a good case for why we should be keeping an eye on him. Michael is obviously very concerned with what humans do and whether it is morally right - so does that mean he's been nice to some people, presumably the ones he's considered good? Yes, as you and your friend here have pointed out. However, he's also doled out a punishment for someone he considers bad, claiming that the person "asked" for his help. The other side of the story is that the person accepted the punishment in order to get Michael to leave him alone. Which is not actually asking for help, it is called being coerced, and it is especially problematic when you consider how much more powerful Michael is than a regular human being, how much more capacity he has to wear people down until they have no choice but to say yes.
In case you're wondering, angels in my world ALSO used this sort of logic. They had to have consent to possess people, but really they only needed the person to say "yes". And a "yes" after the person had been tortured, forced to watch their loved ones threatened and killed, was considered acceptable - which is again, not real consent.
And while the punishment in question is that Michael caused a person to be unable to curse, which might seem really small, it actually means he has the power to affect minds and speech. Not to mention he has the power to make it happen for two weeks, which indicates a lot of power. What happens if that punishment doesn't work, and Michael decides to go farther? All I really want to do is ensure that he's going to stop doling out punishments before it escalates to something worse. And in my experience, beings as powerful as Michael don't like listening to humans, so yes, I am expecting to have to take drastic measures. I understand why you want to give him the benefit of the doubt, and believe me, I do hope that I'm wrong.
But if all of that wasn't enough, the person who knows Michael from his own world just told me, below, that Michael put him and other people in a time loop and tortured them. I know we don't count sins in other worlds against people here - because we like to give everyone a fresh start - but it's an indication of what he's capable of, and it's an example of exactly the kind of thing I'm worried about.
