Thanks the stars, because that would be the saddest thing ever. BTW, if you've never tried a bacta tank, you should. But make sure you do the sedatives first.
Anyway, so I've got this hand ready. We're going to need one of these droid doctors for helping me with the docking — locking your nerves to the base. It shouldn't be too life threatening since your hand's already gone and it still hasn't completely healed, but it's healed ENOUGH so that you're not leaking blood everywhere. Once the base is put on, then I can install the hand and do some testing. We'll want to wait a few days from base to hand to make sure your body doesn't reject it.
[..] Bacta would really come in handy. I'm going to see if anyone has any bandages or something.
