Re: Hera & Sabine
Peace is basically unheard of as a lasting goal for Mandalorians. But the Duchess had some decent points.y dad always super respected her.
And maybe. But I should have thought what the Empire would do with that.
The Darksaber is actually ancient. It's like over 1000 years old. But it's a lightsaber that was made for Tarre Vizsla who was the first Mandalorian accepted into the Jedi. But they kept it after he died until House Vizsla stole it.
And you don't have to be a Jedi to use it, so they used it in our wars against the Jedi and were able to use that to positions themselves as Mandalor and somewhere along the way, the Darksaber became the symbol of the Mandalor's power. And also House Vizsla but they didn't always have it. People have kind of killed each other a lot over possessing it. But it tends to fall back in Vizslan hands.
Anyway, most recently it belonged to Pre Vizsla, the last legitimate Mandalor. Until he was killed by Maul back at the start of the most recent Mandalorian civil war. But when the Empire came in, they got rid of Maul the pretender and installed Gar Saxon as viceroy of Mandalore. But since he didn't even get the post by combat and he didn't have the darksaber he's vulnerable. I mean a lot of Mandalore is serving the Empire, but a lot of clans went to ground. So if the Darksaber fell into the right hands, that might give those clans in exile the sort of push to unite against the Empire behind a legitimate Mandalore.
But right now it's in Texas because I kind of stole it from Maul. So it's in my hands. ¯\_(ツ)_/ ¯
