I've spent the last week thinking — about how fragile ~~your~~ lives are, and how short a time we have.

The only thing I've come up with is how fucking stupid it is that we're pretending we're just friends. We used to be friends, and I think given time we could be again, but I don't want to.

We used to argue about what would happen if Bigby came back. You said you always knew that if he showed up here, that I'd run to him. Maybe it was true then, but Bigby and I — we have an eternity in our world. You and I don't have that long, and I still love you.

I don't know if this is overstepping my bounds, but I've spent too much of my life as the ice queen that everyone knew in Fabletown and the Homelands. Maybe I should credit Bigby for opening my heart up to care about other people as more than just Fables to keep in line, but it's hard to just shut that down once it's opened. The kids taught me about real, unconditional love. Bigby taught me that sometimes there are people who come back.

So this is me. Coming back. Wanting to be back.

Which is so goddamn stupid because we're both clearly better together. Ghost told me you were tense when you woke up and frantic, and that as soon as I got there, you were more at ease. I'd have been the same way. I am the same way.

So let's stop being morons. I'd come see you right now, but the kids — they wanted ice cream so I'm on the top deck.

Remember when the ghosts were around? And you saw Darien and Bigby? I wasn't alright until I saw you. Until we could make sure that neither of us was alone. And we were just friends then.

I suggest taking it slowly. You lived with us, so they're used to seeing you. I think it's just a matter of slowly introducing the idea to them. Even if I think Ghost is a little shit who already knows.

We can manage that. Hopefully they won't be upset once they are made aware. And I wouldn't be surprised if he was at this point. My family knows. I can make sure they know not to speak too frankly about it in front of the kids for the time being?
