As much fun as Atlantis was, I'm not really that upset that we're going. So does all that fighting stuff happen a lot?

[Napoleon]

I'm sure everyone's asked you if you're doing okay and it's probably really annoying by now. So I'll try not to ask.

Do you need anything? Probably something else you've been asked a lot, too.

From what I've heard, it does happen a lot.

My thoughts exactly. How are you? You weren't hurt at all were you?

No. I'm fine. I made it out without even a little scratch. Which was different.

That depends on what ya mean by a lot. It happens more'n enough that we got plans in place for when things go down, but it ain't an every week sorta thing.

I'm glad that it's not an every week sort of thing. I'm not sure how it'd be if it came that often.

We ain't had a battle like we just did since probably June of last year. We've had some lil things here and there when things like gremlins showed up. But outright battles don't happen too often.

Oh. I haven't had one in [...] six years. Admittedly, there were less kraken and sirens and merpeople involved.

They're fairly routine where a few of us are from, but hopefully we'll have smoother sailing from here on out.

I can't imagine what that must be like. I guess I can, but [...] I don't know. One can hope so.

It ain't always the easiest but it does keep ya prepared.

Yeah. We dealt with a lot in school. Even after. But I guess this was the first time I've really used magic in six years.

Even when not for combat?

Yeah. I left the Wizarding world and went to live in the Muggle world and it just seemed like the best way to go about things. I didn't have to worry about Muggles accidentally seeing me use magic and I had to learn how to do things for myself.

I tried something similar once. It didn't stick for me. Hopefully whenever you do go home it sticks if'n you're wanting it to.

I don't know if it will forever, but I guess at least I want things to come together.

It is significantly more than some of us would like.

I'm doing well, thank you for not asking. It's been hell of a couple days, yes? How did you fare?

You're welcome. It has been. Not even a scratch. I guess six years without magic hasn't ruined me.

Sometimes things are like riding a bike - you don't quite forget how to do that, no matter how much time has passed. Regardless, I'm glad to hear you pulled out of this without any harm.

It does seem to be that way. Maybe I'll show you a little magic sometime. Something I probably don't need to use in the battles here.

We're happy to fascinate. Mostly. It's easier to fascinate where it isn't against the law to show magic to non-magical people.
