Who: Molly and Percy Weasley When: Saturday, December 9, after this exchange on the network Where: The Burrow What: Percy tells Molly about his complicated relationship with the rest of his siblings Rating: PG Status: Ongoing
Somethings never change, and the Burrow seemed to be one of them. It was still pouring down rain when Percy arrived, apparating into the yard while holding an umbrella over his head. He avoided the puddles as he trotted through the mud, and let himself in through the back door, which shut behind him with a bang like it always did. Percy carefully shook out his umbrella and wiped his feet clean on the mat before entering proper, all the while looking around the kitchen.
There was a sense of nostalgia mixed with sadness welling in Percy's chest. The same copper pots and pans hung from the ceiling, the long kitchen table with an assortment of mismatched chairs positioned around it, the family clock ticking in the corner, brought back memories of his childhood. But at the same time, he also remembered the bickering between him and the twins, the way he would flounce around the place puffed up with foolish pride, the arguments he had with his father. It was home, but somehow the Burrow also managed to make him feel like a stranger.
