"I've had to do that, before. Build things from scratch, that is. I had one patient with a severely bleeding wound and needed a REBOA to alleviate it. We didn't have a REBOA available so I built one." Nodding his head, he watched as Matt grabbed his things. "I like being a doctor. I worked in the trauma ward. I was a surgical resident at San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital."
"I don't think any of us know," he pointed out. "I lived in Casper, Wyoming when I was younger. It snowed there a lot." If there was one thing here that was going to be a constant challenge, it was learning to expect the unexpected. But considering his job, which was an ever-changing constant, he could get used to this as well. "I hope nothing too bad happens."
