I like Fred. Generous, idealistic fellow, not a hint of mercenary about him. It will be a stretch.

[Karen Page]

I have no experience with Thanksgiving before last year's, but I do find I've quite a bit to be grateful for. Would you want to do something? It might be a good time to I've never attempted a turkey, so I can't make any promises.

[Sherlock Holmes (BBC)]
Thoughts based on what we've seen so far?

[Mycroft Holmes]
How are the renovations coming? It sounded like quite a project.

Sure, we can! We have a couple of options. We could crash someone else's, we could try and make our own, or we can get take out and just relax all day.

I wouldn't mind company for the day, not to say that I don't enjoy the two of us. We had rather large holiday celebrations in Twelve-A, though I'd missed a few before coming here.

Fred? What did I miss?

I received a part in the Christmas play. I've just been reading through it. Fred is the nephew to the main character.

I'm going to enjoy it, I think. It's almost a taste of home.

Who's Fred? And are we going to have to fight him?

Oh, no. Fred is just a character in a play. I suppose there's no reason that he couldn't turn up here, of course, but he doesn't strike me as the combative sort.

Oh right. A Christmas Carol. Still some adjusting to get used to.

Exactly! Will you be coming?

I'm sure I will. I'll drag Bellamy with me. Not sure he's seen many plays.

I've read the story. I've just never seen the play.

I understand that there are quite a few adaptations.

It's been a trial, but the work is nearly finished. The rooms are habitable, but in dire need of proper furnishings.

Would you be interested in accompanying me as I go on a shopping excursion? Perhaps a little antiquing on the side?

Proper furnishings aren't easy to find about Tumbleweed, even with the growth in size since I was first here.

I would be delighted. I haven't done anything of the sort in some time.

Proper furnishings, mind. None of this inferior, pressed wood or plastic rubbish from IKEA or, Heaven forbid, Wal-mart.

Excellent. I understand there's a service in town, where you may hire individuals who can teleport you to anywhere you need to go, so we're not at all restricted to this immediate area. Do you have any suggestions or preferences of your own?

Only under duress! I've seen what they boast.

Unfortunately, we missed the Antiques Fair. Dallas has several options. There will be additional charges for teleporting larger items, so distance may still be something of a factor.

London is ideal, of course, if you haven't changed all your currency. I suspect your world is similar enough for it to be good, unlike mine. I used my Twelve-B emergency fund already. Teleportation rates will be considerably higher, of course. It's a shame Lucifer and Gabriel are go Times like this I miss the Castle resources

Tell me you haven't succumbed.

Pity, that would've been ideal. I'd rather like to see what we turn up. If it's purchased at a fair price, then I won't mind the extra delivery fee.

Let's begin with Dallas. I should like to visit London at some time in the near future, anyway. My priority now is to take care of my living arrangement.

I'm not that easily tempted. I only compromise myself for quality.

You're the leader in this.

I haven't yet been to this London. I'd like to pay a visit as well.

I should hope not.

Naturally When I've made the arrangements for the shopping, I shall let you know. A London excursion may be saved for another time.

It's a decent production thus far. Enthusiasm has the potential of elevating any art form, but there's a distinct element of desperation here — a need for distraction. You've a far greater task than I do. Blocking is a nightmare.
