My head hurts. The last thing I remember was a huge needle and then everything went black.

That's probably the sedatives. They're pretty serious about getting us into the quarantine rooms.

Probably good news they're done with that then. The rest of the wait is just for them to run tests on the blood samples they took to make sure no one will get anyone else sick, then you can go.

The town's called Tumbleweed. It's in Texas in the United States, something pulls people here from different worlds and no one's been able to figure out how or why. I think there's a couple hundred of us but the town's more like 20k, the locals seem to know we're a bit weird but they're really good at ignoring exactly how weird. This network is just us though so it's pretty good for keeping up with what's happening and who's around.

I don't know what Texas is. Or the United States. I'm from Spira. A lot of this is very different from what I'm used to.

Totally different world then. Sometimes it's the same place, just things happened differently, but there's a bunch of people who come from somewhere else entirely. If I remember right there's probably a folder on the desk or something that explains some stuff about how things work here.
