Alright, cross-universe Tony Stark idiot check: how crazy am I for honestly considering setting up a small scale, lower key Avengers type thing here? Scale of one to ten. And go.

Wow, deja vu. How small scale? Because there's kind of a lot of people who like to jump in on the occasion things turn up to attack us.

I'll admit I was thinking more small scale in terms of danger than the amount of people.

I know it's not a new thing, all of us being here and not really having our usual 'save the world' side jobs to rely on except on the rare occasion that something comes through that we need to defend ourselves against. But having three people in a few days talk about the whole ex-vigilante thing, it got me thinking that there might be not the monsters and bad guys that are on level with our world, but that doesn't mean there isn't good that can be done.

I have the tech to monitor situations that might need looking into. I have Pixie to teleport people where they need to be. I have the funds and could get more if I focus more on general tech sales and less on the tech that'll help people out.

Right, gotcha. Mightn't be completely unworkable. I'm not sure if we want to stick to the avoiding of superpowers in public in the rest of the world but there's a bunch of people who don't shoot lasers from their eyes or anything.

We're on the same wavelength there at least. Which'd be an extension of the whole small scale, lower key. Obviously not going for the whole big and flashy which just pains me to say, but we don't really need the government getting cranky again. There's plenty who can still work under the radar though. Do some good but not blow open the whole fact that Superman might be more real than everyone thought.

So, how crazy am I?

Low to moderate? Normal "being a superhero is a good idea" crazy, rather than "gone evil" crazy.

Oh well, if it's just the normal crazy, then we're all good.

Don't suppose you'd like to help with the brainstorming stage, would you? I might even be able to scrape together a consulting package.

Well I'm definitely not as over-scheduled as I could be.

That sounds like a 'sure, I'll consult and sign me up for a few missions while you're at it' sort of answer.

It's been a whole year since the last time me and Tony were running the Avengers, apparently.

I haven't had anything since this bullshit fight everyone got into over a kid with visions of the future.

Little bit, yeah. Doesn't help I'm not sure how many years before I can't hack it anymore.

I really hate visions of the future. Nothing good ever comes from them.

You mean there's actually one of those points that pure stubbornness can actually beat out? That's a new one.

Just so you know, I'm serious about the help thing. I've seen teams in action and sort of worked with them, but setting something up like this? It's new to me. The closest I've had is me, Pep, and Rhodey and let's be real, we only really did the team thing because they were stubborn and fought me every time I tried to go it alone.

Nothing good comes from using them to arrest people, either.

Well I'm not exactly a super soldier. The Red Skull did something to me apart from the psychic bird stuff but nothing huge. It wasn't even anything I noticed until our powers got knocked out on the spaceship. So maybe I'm still around at 40, 45, even 50, but eventually it's gonna get real stupid to keep putting on barely any armor and trying to compete with gods and mutants. But hey, I'm already 15 years in and unlike some I've got a career to go back to after. It's not all bad.

We've probably got a big mix between people who are used to teams and people who usually work alone or only with one or two others. It's enough to work with, at least.

It depends on what you want to do with them? And how you think the various people here will interact in that group?

It's not inherently a bad idea, but few things are. It may be a lot to take on yourself though.
