The staff on his unit weren't the only people he planned to check in regularly with. In fact, he quite valued his regular meetings with various members of the Department of Magical Catastrophes. Simon had just finished up a morning full of those meetings and rather than taking a lunch break like most other people might, he had other plans. The common side effect of snacking through out the day was that he didn't really need to pause to take his full lunch break. Instead that time might go to other just as important things. After checking that current room he was occupying in the DMAC wasn't scheduled for anything else, Simon believed that he might procure it for his own purposes. While he normally stuck to his own department for any mid-day yoga practices, it wasn't entirely uncommon for him to be found somewhere else. Especially with the documentary taking up some of the spare spaces for confessionals, Simon would use any space that he could find. He took a quick detour to the washroom to change and grab a yoga mat before returning back to the room. Simon was neither exceptionally secret or public about his practice. It was something he did for himself because it was the only way he could every get his mind to quiet down. The week hadn't been anything out of the ordinary, but preventative medicine was perhaps even more important than reactive. That didn't mean there wasn't the occasion when someone arrived into a room early to set up for a meeting or hoping to use the space and found him. Simon was starting into his practice, and the start of his normal vinyasa sequence. The beginning was a gentle cycle of movements - mountain, rag doll, plank, upward facing dog, downward facing dog, warrior one side - repeat, but with warrior on the other side. By focusing on his breath and the familiar flow of movement, Simon could start to let go of the endless flow of what if scenarios. His practice while at work wasn't as close to what he did in the privacy of his own home, but it produced similar results. As a result, in this state, he wouldn't notice the door opening or even the immediate arrival of any onlookers. |
