For all she knew this could be Mystique now - though years ago Tabby had banished those kinds of thoughts because, really, it could drive you crazy to think about that kind of thing. "She picked me up and helped me out of a, um, jam."
Tabby put her hands in her pockets, awkwardly kicking the foot of her bed a little with her toe as she spoke. "Oh, you know, in retirement, trying to play it straight." Pause. "Failing. The usual." She shrugged. Those was the extremely brief Cliff notes version of her last ten years alright. "But yeah, that's all over now. Time to make with the boom booms again, I guess." She emphasized the 'boom boom' with two mini explosions at the snap of her fingers.
She made a slight upward notion with her head. "You keepin' out of trouble? You and whoever else is here, I mean..." Which was an indirect way of asking who all was here that she'd know.
