New surroundings [Open] Prose but can switch :)
Suzaku had listened to the radio conversation without joining in. No one seemed to know where they were, except that Lara woman who didn't seem to want to tell anybody anything. He had heard the order to get inside as well but had ignored it, if they were truly to keep safe then they should secure an area, make sure those that couldn't fight were safe. Organise...

What was he thinking? He wasn't planning on staying here. He already had one world that still needed him. There was not one thing he wished for, or nothing that he would admit to wishing for, so that child's deal was incredibly one sided. He had no intention of being in a dying world; apparantly there was more than one world, for longer than it took to get home. After all he had already helped save one world and the price had been high, one was enough for one lifetime surely.

He was stood in one of the streets looking around trying to decide where to start.

Lelouch, on the other hand, was working on creating a map of their new surroundings. He was systematically moving through the streets, taking notes of their names and features. He wore only a portion of the Zero costume, he was down to simply the white shirt he wore under the cape, jacket, and vest. He'd switched the rather singular pants out for a plain black pair he'd found in an old store.

But then, he saw himself. Rather, who should be himself. Standing there in the street. Either someone had an explanation to make, or he was finally going mad. "You there! Identify yourself!" There was his in-charge voice, regardless of how he may have felt.

Suzaku glared at the radio for some time after his conversation with Cornelia, he had no idea what was going on but it could not be good.

He heard the voice and froze. He knew that voice but it couldn't be... That was imposible... Suzaku turned slowly and his eyes widened as he looked at the man he had killed.

Cornelia's amnesia was one thing but this... this... He couldn't be here. This was impossible.

"L...Lelouch?"

He strode up toward the impostor. "Take that mask off. Tell me who you are!" There was anger in his voice. No one but him had the right to wear that. Even though it was currently a face of his disgrace, he still would not tolerate this.

He closed the distance between them, and went straight for the release latch that made the back panels raise up. Once they had, he ripped it from his head.

But then he stared. The balaclava was still there, but he knew that hair and those eyes. He was staring at his betrayer, the one that killed Nunnally. "You..." he seethed.

Suzaku made no move to stop Lelouch as he came towards him. He would tolerate no one else getting close enough to remove his mask, no one else knew how to release it in any case; but he allowed Lelouch all the while wondering if he had hit his head as well.

"Lelouch..." His eyes widened even more because even though he wasn't sure what he was expecting this blinding anger wasn't it.

He just stared back, unable to say anything.

"I should kill you!" But the threat in the words was deflated by the rise of emotion into his throat. Tears came down his cheeks. "She's dead... You killed her! Nunnally!" Suzaku still made no move, even when Lelouch grabbed him. It was just too much, for Lelouch to be alive was one thing but for him to be alive and having forgotten everything...

He shook his head, "She's not. She's not dead. You... You've lost your memory." His cheaks were wet as well he noticed. Because Lelouch was dead, killed by Suzaku's own hand and now it was as if it had never happened... as if everything had been for nothing.

	He looked back up at Suzaku. "She's not? She made it out?" But then he remembered the last time he had a massive alteration of his memory. Nunnally had been replaced with that lying, traitorous, assassin. "No! I haven't lost any memory." He sounded a bit on the edge of hysteria. "I have not been anywhere near that man." Suzaku had realised his mistake the moment he had made it, of course mentioning memory loss was going to bring about a bad reaction. That was all his fault as well.

All his past crimes, crimes he had been serving his punishment for, rising up to haunt him. "She's alive," he repeated, he might have killed millions, and he would never forgive himself for that, but Nunally, Nunally was alive.

"He is dead, he can't do anything. He can't hurt you." Of course Lelouch was dead as well, so that didn't mean anything. Suzaku didn't say anything though, because there really was no way he could while Lelouch was like this.

"Think. What is the last thing you remember?"

He took a few deep breaths before he was finally able to regain his composure. When he spoke again, there was a deliberateness in his voice. "The FLEIJA had gone off. My people had only just gotten clear. C.C. remembered nothing of Geass... Rolo had told me Nunnally was dead." He still hung onto the fabric of Suzaku's clothes, but not so desperately. "I closed myself in my room."

Hesitantly now that Lelouch seemed less likely to try physical violnce Suzaku brought his hand up to touch Lelouch's. "A... A lot has happened since then, Cornelia seems to have memory loss as well... It might be something to do with that child."

Despite everything that had happened and despite the fact Lelouch couldn't remember any of it Suzaku found himself slipping back into his roll as Lelouch's knight. "Pull yourself together, we will get to the bottom of this."

He nodded. "Cornelia is a problem. You show up to her meeting dressed like Zero. I will arrive as myself." He bent down and picked up the helmet. He brushed off some dust it'd picked up on the ground. He held it back out to Suzaku. He seemed to have fully settled back into himself. Though it would be difficult to say how much of his change was forced and how much was genuine. "For now, you must give her no indication that you're here."

	Suzaku nodded, that had pretty much been his plan. He had no intention of letting Cornelia know who he really was memory loss or not. He took the helmet and nodded forcing himself not to salute or do anything else to confuse Lelouch. "I will be there." He put the helmet back on silently. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

"You will have to make clear to her that the previous model of Britannian rule over others will not be tolerated in this new place. And that if she is going to assert that authority, then you will have to take action of your own." He seemed right back to normal. "We'll arrive separately of course, you after me. Probably right around when she accuses me of terrorism." He waved a dismissive hand.

He looked Suzaku up and down. "Following that, we'll find somewhere for us to use as a base of operations until we can get out of here." He seemed to have no trouble with ordering him around, because after all, there had to be some reason for him to be wearing it. It wasn't as though it were a replica attempted by someone that had only seen it. The fact that the helmet mechanism was the same meant that this was made by he himself.

But he still kept Suzaku at arm's length. There was now a hole between them that needed patching. Even if Nunnally was alive, Suzaku had nearly killed her himself. And that was the icing on a horridly bitter cake.

	Suzaku noticed that memory loss or not Lelouch seemed fine with telling him what to do. That was fine as long as he didn't do anything rash. Suzaku nodded, "There seems to be quite a few habitable buildings, we can find one to use as a base." (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
