Brennan didn't even answer any of her questions, instead he laughed, and the joy of it made a grin split her face. When he called her skinny she scowled at him and pinched his arm. "I'm sure I was pining just as much as you were and now what are you-..." she was cut off on a yelp when he hefted her up into his arms and spun her around. Instinctively her hands went to his shoulders, holding on.
She was torn between laughter and demanding he put her down immediately, but she decided to simply concentrate on the fact that she was happy right now and let the laugh free. Once on her feet again she curled her hand into a fist and tapped it lightly against his arm. "You're going to ruin my image if you keep pulling stuff like that." Her voice was teasing though, and it was surprising how easily it seemed to come to her when she was with him again.
She stood back slightly, studying him in return. Her eyes swept over his face, the broad spread of his shoulders. at his back he carried the staff he'd been given after completing his training as a mage. Another little piece of a long lost village; it's intertwined wyvern heads wound together around a gem-like sphere. He was wearing different clothes, but that made sense. She was only still in possession of the boots and some of the furs she'd left the village with, the latter tucked away in her bags at the inn. The leather pants and corseted vest she wore she'd made herself from animal skins. The cotton shirt was purchases at one village or another along her travels.
She dragged a hand through the dark tangles of her hair and smiled at him, reaching out to take his hand and squeeze it. "I don't care what your plans were. You're staying with me now. There's someone you should meet and we'll get it all worked out..." She glanced around idly, and spotted Signy, waving towards her. "She's actually right over there."
