Imenry felt victorious when he picked up the pace, her hand caught in his as she hurried to keep up. Their strides took them away from the village, down a familiar path along the edges of the mountainside, where the rock face was flat and riddled with cracks and caverns. Her eyes went wide in surprise and the a smile spread across her face as she wrapped her arms around him and pressed in close.
"Here? Of course I remember." She batted at his prodding fingers and slipped away again, clambering up towards the hatchway. She knew it took the strength of two men to lift it and glanced towards Brennan appraisingly. "Are we going inside?"
Pleasure and warmth flooded through her at the thought that he'd arranged this. It was romantic, the little bit of nostalgia that swept her when she remembered this place. Sitting, huddled in the cavern and waiting for him to find her. She shot him another smile, one that lit her face with affection and then disappeared through the hatch to survey their little hideaway.
She dropped easily to the stone floor, her boots hitting with a little scuff, then reached to pull the sword and sheathe from her back, laying it aside. She wouldn't need that now and it would only get in the way.
