Tucked in close to him, she felt warmer, the heat of his body seeping into her's. But his touch made her shiver for other reasons and she slipped her arm around his waist. Her eyes scanned the path they took, trying to work out just where it was that they were going.
At his smug assertion that it was a secret she raised her brow, wanting to protest or question him more, but he tugged her under the shade of a house and kissed her, and she forgot anything about secrets and questions. When his lips brushed her's a second time Imenry slid her hands up his back slowly, leaning back against the outside wall of the house.
It was cold against her back, but she didn't care, and her lips parted against his as her eyes fell shut. Brenn was the only boy she'd kissed, and he'd taught her just how much she enjoyed it. Her hands clutched at his back, pulling him closer, fingers curled into the fabric of the layers he wore.
When she drew back for air she stared up at him, her face flushed and lips swollen, and then smiled. "Is this why you wanted to skip training today?"
