He protested lightly to the accusation that he would go off and mope, being that he was not the brooding kind. He'd tried to work up a good mope in the past, just to see what it was like, and had failed miserably. Sulking he could do, but only for a few minutes at a time. He conjured up his best offended and sulky face, but it quickly gave way to good cheer and anticipation.
His fingers tightened around hers in response before tugging at their joined hands. "Hurry, hurry," he grumbled good-naturedly, his smile and the laughter in his voice betrayed his true feelings on the matter despite his words, "Always got to be in charge, don't you?" As they slipped out one of the openings to the training grounds, he added, "We'll see about that!" The forest was thin up here, but he was not looking for a good place to hide behind a tree.
Instead he had a better place in mind, one with a bit more sentimental attachment. All the food had been moved out of their hidey-hole in preparation of tomorrow's festivities, which left the winter overflow storage free. He had checked this morning, under the pretense of running a errand. It was not as if he had spent most of the morning planning on getting the two of them alone. And it was not as if he had left the main ceiling hatch open for ease of access for this very reason.
Not at all.
The only problem was if another amorous couple poached his spot. That, and the busy village busybodies between here than there. Ah well, he had promised Imenry, so he was going to make it happen.
