Lille shook her head, claiming some of the bowls from him so that she could help carry something back towards camp. She did feel better after speaking to him, better than time alone contemplating things would have left her feeling. Things were still complicated, and uncertain. Azabeth was still in danger, but Lillie knew Ordhan wouldn't just turn her over so easily now. She trusted his word. If he were to get proof of the truth, or at least some compelling enough evidence that the accusation was false, then his conscious wouldn't let him turn in an innocent woman.
What that would mean for him, Lillie didn't know either. Would he lose his position as a knight for failing to obey orders? Even if he knew they weren't right? It was likely, given the way the law seemed to work. Fair or right wasn't part of the vocabulary, especially when one of those involved had money.
She fell into step alongside him as they made their way back to camp. Things weren't completely okay between her and Ordhan. There was a lot of history; the kind of history that was bound to make things awkward at times. There was also now... this whole situation. And though she was grateful it was Ordhan on the case and not some other... random knight, she didn't like the idea that he might be bringing a friend in to her death if this didn't work out.
"I'm fine heading back to camp, but thank you." She paused and then nodded towards him as they approached. "And thank you again, for asking in the first place." After setting the bowls away Lillie moved to join the others around the fire.
