She also hoped that something else would reveal itself along the way, that more to the story would come out. Perhaps even Azabeth herself had some clue or knowledge, something that had occurred before the Arlessa's murder. Lillie herself suspected there was something more about Lelehai's recent strange behavior, but she had never met the woman and couldn't say. It was simply a gut feeling, perhaps.

It was strange to think... how would the Ordhan of the past have handled such an event? Would he have even bothered to bring in the criminal? Would he have looked the other way? Would he even allow himself to be aware of the supposed crime?
