The door swung open, bringing with it a gust of wind and the sharp scent of the cold and snow. Lillie shivered but Tamrith fell silent as they looked towards the source, and a possible customer. Recognition had a smile slipping across Lillie's face. As the man approached, his eyes intent on her, the elven woman excused herself, brushing an affectionate hand over her friend's shoulder before moving to join the others at the fire.
"Ordhan," Lillie's voice was soft as she studied his anxious face. "You must be freezing."
She stood then, clasping one of his icy hands in both her smaller ones, rubbing them gently. "Do you want a room? Let me bring some tea, or cider to warm you a little." The rooms themselves didn't have fireplaces, but the smaller spaces had no outside walls and tended to be warmer to begin with.
From the look on his face she knew that he was distressed by something. He looked terrible, and she knew enough by now that it was probably his job. After collecting the tray with warm drinks she slid her other arm around him gently and guided him away from the open area and towards one of the rooms.
