Brennan listened attentively, finding the topic far more interesting than any in his lessons. Since he was not the village idiot, he understood his lessons, but Ravin's voice developed a strong droning undertone after too long. The man was just impossible to listen to! At least, that was Brennan believed, and he was sticking by that.
