Signy furrowed her brow slightly, as she scooped up her plate and mug and followed behind Imenry. She wasn't done eating, but she also wasn't intending to give the flatware back to the nug roaster until she was; she'd paid for all the food, and she might as well make it last. But what the surfacer had said was bothering her, as she tried to fit what seemed like completely contradictory pieces together in her head. Stars were outside their shelter after dark. Stars had names. Stars made pictures. What in the world…
She looked more and more frustrated as she thought about it, knowing that she was missing some important piece of information. If stars were people, they could hardly be outside only at night—the same if they were statues or other kinds of art—so what was she missing?
It took her a moment, distracted as she was, to remember that Imenry probably needed to know where she was staying. "It's that smaller tent, back there, behind the stall with the shields." She pointed. "It backs up against the wall of the pass. I'll be there—well, I need to take care of a few things," like trying to sell off more jewelry, and trade her dress for some kind of profit, and see what else she had. "But I'll be there by dark."
