Æolyn glanced up the stairs when Galen did, nodding slowly at his question. "Yes, I should be fine. Thank you," she answered him with a light smile. She appreciated his concern for her, even if she felt it didn't go much past the concern most of her kind felt for her and vice versa. She couldn't really blame him, they had just met and on top of that she'd dropped quite the bomb in his lap. She'd at least known Caia a while before releasing her secret on her, but Galen? As of this time yesterday, she'd only known his name.
At his next question, she reached into a pocket on her skirt and pulled out a half sheet of paper, nodding once. She always carried the deed to her house with her for reasons such as that and because it was often better than leaving it in her house. She'd been robbed many times before now and that was one thing she couldn't afford to lose. Sure the city might have kept records about who bought homes but would they really care to validate that she, and elf, really did own a house outside the alienage?
"Thank you again, Galen. Be sure to tell your sister for me as well," she said with a small smile and a nod. With that she turned to go up the stairs back home, glancing back over her shoulder as she ascending and give him a small wave. After that last gesture she turned her attention back in front of her and disappeared at the top landing.
