While the other battles are loud and destined for renown, this battle has no spectators and may only have one person to know that it ever happened and that is the way it is preferred by perhaps both parties. There are no cries of pain, no sounds of struggle. In fact, for over five minutes, there is not a sound.
Silence.
A muffle cry of pain and a short but violent struggle escapes the floorboards.
More silence.
A short time later, the elf pushes the cellar door open once more, pulling himself up the ladder with his unwounded arm. Still wielding his weapons with both hands, the Warden makes his way back to the courtyard in front of the Chantry.
