Piers smirked pensively from behind his interlocked hands. "Admittedly, Ser Ordhan, the thought of my youngest joining his brother on such an expedition is not one that I find particularly reassuring." He exhaled slowly. "If such is the case, better that they be together, I suppose, than in separate peril." Somehow his own words seemed to worry him all the more.
"At some point," he added with a quiet, self-deprecating chuckle, "I must simply admit that both are no longer ten years old, and undoubtedly quite capable of taking care of themselves."
Piers tapped a knuckle against his mouth for a few quiet seconds, then ceased his fidgeting and straightened with an apologetic air, remembering himself to be in the company of a near-stranger. He smiled at Ordhan warmly. "Thank you, at least, for what you have been able to supply."
