Noah had been happily standing around outside the Chantry, thinking about how this building was a place where he could think about the man he had been and the way he was now going. There were only two things he disliked about standing here. The preoccupying thoughts that things weren't safe, which instinctively raised a hand to flatten the hairs on the back of his neck, and the remindful sight of Redcliffe itself.
It hadn't taken him long after that to find a spot where he could work, and the only changes that needed making were moving some paraphenalia and making sure the ground was safe - no sharp rocks and other things that might hurt people. But this place was such a strange collection of voices and behaviour that he wasn't quite sure where to start anything more.
If things had not been so serious, Noah would've looked a lot more animated on his way to the lakeside. His expression rarely entered into a smile, except when somebody made him laugh, and he was wringing his hands. Something was hanging on the air and it felt wrong. Redcliffe was a place he had to be but afterwards it would be a place he shouldn't be at all.
His walk came to a stop at the sight of other people he'd travelled with. He was being single-minded at this time; today was a time when that was right. He hadn't been outside long enough, and for a great period, to think everyone had your best interests at heart. Because he sometimes didn't have that for other people.
He glanced back at the collection of buildings and the wooden pathways that extended into the water, and thought how nice it would be to settle here - and then with frustration he remembered Redcliffe's history and decided that was probably not a good idea.
But at least that Dwarf was a Mage. She might get why it was nerve-defying to be in such a large open space - to get used to it, but still find it strange, was odd. Because he felt the others couldn't, although that was not their fault. However, they were talking. He chose to be polite and to sit on the edge of the wooden platform and wait.
