israa nilas ; waking sea ranger (israa) wrote in thedas,
"Well met, Sers. Ranger Nilas will suffice. I am no knight." And she certainly didn't feel deserving of the title. Not that she ever wanted to be a knight. Shiny armor never suited her. She did think the introduction to be a waste of time, though, but Israa was doing her best to remain polite. It was a bit of a chore, but she knew it would be best, if only for her, to stay on her best behavior if she was going to get the information she needed. The dwarf was kind enough to invite her along, the least she could do was remain pleasant. Even if the other two seemed to be dragged along with.
"I apologize if I have put you in a tight spot." She didn't care at all, really, but best to let them think so. "The Bann is..." she took a moment to find an appropriate adjective, smirking just a bit as she got the inappropriate words out of the way, "an impatient woman." Brusque even, a quality which Israa greatly appreciated, though not one uncommon among Ferelden nobles. "She would wait around for the Queen's word if it meant much to her," which it didn't, "and I've already been away long now. No doubt she'll send an arrow after me if she doesn't hear back soon." Just being aware of her Lady's personality, she couldn't imagine herself in the service of any other Bann in Ferelden. "So in all of our best interests, I'll not keep you any longer than I need to."
