She laughed, and he grinned somewhat rakishly. It was always nice when people agreed with him, and better still when a pretty lady followed him to the bar. (Or.. anywhere.) She said something about joining him if it meant that he was buying, and he really didn't have a problem with that. The barman had returned at this point to serving people – he was trying to get things back to normal; so far he didn't seem to have out and out decided to be annoyed with Kyrio, given that he had sort of helped stop the fighting, but also managed to fling a couple of tables into the wall. Ky gave him a mildly apologetic smile, but mostly ignored it. The fight was over, and technically – he glanced behind him for a moment – yeah, technically most of the bar was still standing. Or at least, just now getting to their feet. Same thing..
He gestured for another two drinks, and turned to look back over at his new companion – he was going to ask her where she was from, since it was obvious they both had foreign accents, and neither one happened to be the same – when he was rather politely interrupted by a youthful voice vaguely behind him. Ky turned to look over, somewhat surprised to see another dwarf – he seemed out of breath or something. Maybe he'd been knocking some heads about in the fight, although Kyrio didn't remember having seen him. Then again, seeing people. Kind of difficult in a crowd.
It sounded for a moment like the young dwarf had asked 'Are you well Miss Kinsman?' and Kyrio was mildly confused since the beard was usually a dead giveaway, but the difference in eye-placement made things a little clearer. The kinsman was definitely directed at him, then. He was either talking about them both being dwarves, or he meant to insinuate that he was.. also a mage? Or from Nevarra, perhaps? (This seemed unlikely, as he neither looked, nor sounded the part.) There'd been a bit more emphasis on it, so he figured he should say something – luckily he was saved from having to think of something on the spot when the younger man started stammering his way through a sentence. While he repeated himself, Kyrio's drink arrived, and he took a swig from it as more words began to emerge and slowly coalesce into a sentence. He seemed to be quite nervous, for whatever reason, and when he glanced over at Kyrio's companion, the nervousness only seemed to increase. Ky glanced over at her too, mildly perplexed. She was quite pretty, sure, but.. She wasn't particularly intimidating.. Or, so he thought. He had another drink and returned his attention to the dwarf.
Ahh, a thanks. Well that was fine. Somewhat unnecessary, as Ky'd been looking for something to do anyway, but it wasn't as though this fine little fellow would have known that. He seemed to be quite bent on some decorum, as well, which put him out of place as much as anyone else in the tavern this afternoon. (And there had been an inordinately high number of remarkable people today.. It was strange.) The idea of returning the favour was a little surprising – Ky had no idea who the young dwarf was actually talking about. He looked at him for a moment, then held out his drink to the younger man, saying, 'I seek yhu mights ned dis more zan I do. Yhu zeem neyrvus.' All said with a friendly look, but damn. Really. The kid was going to hyperventilate or something.
Friendly look gets a more mildly intrigued and confused look as the offer for returning a favour comes up. 'Retyrn se favour? Everyvon is okay, yis?' He tilted his head a bit. 'Vat fer yhu shinkings about, young Zir?' Ky had no wish to be rude, but he was also a little bit confused. As far as he was concerned, there had been a brawl in the bar, now settled, mostly due to his magery, and it was over now as long as the blarny twits didn't get their drunk arses back up and realise they were still angry. All done. So, being nice, but confused. And intrigued too, damn. He was used to dwarves in Nevarra, but they were all his family. Since coming here? Not more than two. Ever. And they were surly and didn't feel like talking. Ever. Oh well. This little one seemed rather keen on it whether you liked it or not.
