It had been an exhausting day in Lothering. All Thais wanted was a distraction, something to take her mind away from the swirling complexities of the life she was living, when Rhocanth offered to escort her to the tavern. Thais didn't hesitate in accepting, but on the condition that she was allowed to change out of the robes that had been attracting questionable attention from villagers. She dressed into less 'bold' (bright yellow, really, what brilliant Mage Designer thought of that?) clothing. The soft fabric of her maroon robes, perfectly tailored for her body, clung to her curves. She considered that it might still be a bit much for the Lothering folk, but as a mage Thais didn't get the chance to dress up and actually go out. She reveled in the opportunity to wear her more fancy robes where strangers could appreciate it and not the odd "what are you dressing up for" reactions of the Tower.
Currently, her Enchanter robes and other garments were drying from being washed for the rest of the trip. Her hair was brushed smooth and tied up in a rather complex twist. She wore newly purchased golden (matching the embroidered lining of her robes), glass beads in her hair, stringed through the twist. Around her neck was a decorative piece of jewelry with the center being a rather large stone encased in silver lacing. She considered wearing her gloves, but when reminded she was simply going to a tavern, she realized there would be no reason. It would be warm enough. Despite her dressed up appearance, it did not take Thais long to get ready. She had been much too excited, to take her time.
She followed Rhocanth into the tavern. Enjoying the polite attention from the Warden, she accepted the arm he offered... though with a bit of difficulty due to their heights. She lightly placed her hand around Rhocanth's bicep, her long fingernails tapping against the muscle. Her eyes squinted through the haze of the tavern, glancing around at the various people gathered. She vaguely wondered if those there would be able to identify her as a mage. Thais hoped not. She had wrestled with the idea of bringing her precious stave along. Even if she didn't expect anything to happen in the tavern, the security of having the weapon along made her feel better (such as a soldier and their sword). But in the end, Thais figured it would be better to leave it. She did not want to deal with a drunk's bigotry towards her mage-kind, if she could avoid it. The woman simply wanted to enjoy a pleasant time with Rhocanth and forget about her stresses.
As Rhocanth led her around the tavern, Thais surveyed the loud, drunken man with an air of nobility. She wrinkled her nose before looking away quickly as if uncouth was contagious by air. As Rhocanth addressed her, Thais brought a bright smile to her expression, "Of course... Where shall we sit though?" She asked casually, glancing around at all the various seating, those that were taken and those that were not.
