Yonca continued to flip through the pages of the journal as she read. Her pace of reading was fast and it only took her a minute or so before moving on to the next page. There was various animal sounds around them, creating an ambience of nature. She preferred this atmosphere to the ones in the cities that were filled with people shouting and carts rattling.
As Desi spoke up, Yonca paused in her reading. She hesitated, absorbing the words spoken. Shutting the journal in her lap, she turned to look at the young man. Yonca stared at him, her blue eyes wide with subtle interest, “Why wouldn’t you?” She asked in her soft tone, “The templar will probably be most delighted to hurt you if you cannot hurt him.”
