As Hilda revealed the object of her affections and thoughts, Imenry paused in her work in momentary surprise. Ser Ordhan had been a friend that she had made at the Keep as well. He was quiet, and so internal, but a kind man. She gathered that he was somewhat disappointed in himself, and felt he could not live up to his childhood hero, his brother, even though he had not admitted this aloud. She hoped that he would be able to work past that. Imenry glanced over at Hilda and smiled. “You and Ser Ordhan? Are you… lovers?” She could not keep the curiosity from her voice. She and the Knight had discussed families, and why he did not have a lady waiting for him back in Denerim. He seemed to believe, like she usually did, that it would not be possible with his job, but he had also seemed conflicted. She was not prone to gossip, but she was genuinely interested to learn if her new friend had formed a relationship with this warm and open Skald from the north. She could be just what he needed, someone kind and outgoing to draw him from his silent shell and help him discover what he really wanted.
“It’s just that… I met him at the Keep as well and I had no idea. The Enchanter was more than interested in him though and he did not return her interest. Perhaps he was thinking of you.” She smiled and turned back to her work. “I guess you could say he and I were fast friends, though I am not sure how it happened. He’s so… internal, but I don’t mind his silence. I don’t always make friends easily…” The statement made her think of another man she’d met, and how they’d only clashed from the start.
