"Your people's idea of a Skald... is much more appealing than say, an Orlesian bard. You both seem to have the gift of music and story through song, but with the bard there is so much secrecy and deception, as tale goes. Skalds are not like that I'm gathering, if you're a typical example." She smiled to herself at the thought that Hilda would be typical anywhere at all. "This Gunnarr, your mentor, came all the way to Ferelden to help fight in the last Blight. Is that why you're here? Following in his footsteps?"
She was curious about the reasons for others to come on this journey. Especially someone like Hilda who had a family and loved ones waiting for her back home. So far it had seemed most others had little or nothing to lose, herself one such person. She had her loyalties to Signy which had kept her here thus far.
The banya that Hilda described did indeed sound wonderful. Almost like soaking one's body in the steam of a hotspring. She could think of many time when days of scouting in the steep mountains or hunting until nightfall had left her body weary and sore to the bone. Heat from a bath was brief, quickly leeched away into the chill air. "It does sound wonderful. They should definitely have these banya elsewhere don't you think? Ferelden is cool enough in the winter that they would probably be very popular."
Hilda's final words caused Imenry to fall silent however, all thoughts of cozy steamhouses slipping from her mind. She smiled at the other woman's word's though it did not reach her eyes. It was hard to think of her mother and not miss her deeply. Though there was some resemblance between them, she would never see her mother again and that thought saddened her. Still, there was a truth in Hilda's words. Imenry's religion was not the same as those around her, but that didn't mean she wasn't spiritual. She did believe that her parents were watching over her. "I would like that, Hilda. I don't know how good I'll be at it, but if there is a chance to learn something, then it should always be taken, don't you think?"
