Rolling her eyes at the vigor in which Constans ripped open the parcel the older mage continued on without pause, even after the boy had delightfully gulped down one of his treats and collapsed backwards. Falling silent, hands finally still now that her turn in this whole awkward ordeal was done, she took a deep breath and simply waited.
Chin lifting at the sound of Constans’ voice breaking through the silence had her neck arching back to look at him. Slumping slightly at the disappointment lacing his tone she scooted back further and pulled one leg up onto the bed, twisting around so her entire body was facing him. “If you change your mind you only need to ask. About the food or the clothing. You should start joining the others for meals but no one will force you. It would be good chance to get to know the people here, even if it is only to decide you loathe them and want to avoid them.” Brow furrowing she looked him over carefully and then let out a soft sigh. “But I can show you to the kitchens at some point so you will not starve if you decide against dining in the main hall.”
Leaning back against one of the bunk’s supports, head cradled in the heel of her palm, she offered the younger boy a calm look. There was no fake happiness to be found, just sincerity, and perhaps that was all people really needed. Honesty. “I do not need to go anywhere. I am free to stay here for as long as I please though I would not want to impose on you. Until you tire of me I shall remain here. And,” she paused, her face softening ever so slightly, “it is not as if I cannot come back after today. I will be back to bother you again eventually if you do not come and find me first.”
