Brow furrowing she stared at Constans in confusion, why would she need to heat her own… ooooh. Quietly sighing she gently shook her head that no, she did not need to take cold baths. “Just because we are mages does not mean that we cannot heat our water the same way everyone else does,” she said, voice soft and matter-of-fact rather, “of course if you have the ability to do so it is quicker to heat your own water magically.”
It seemed a strange idea but she supposed being stuck with cold baths was a valid concern. “There are many mages who have never wielded fire or simply never trained themselves to do so.”
It was impressive that he had learned to have any sort of control over his powers and she wondered for the first time how long he had been a mage. She had assumed he had recently come into his powers and been taken by the Templars immediately, much like she had, but even a small amount of control spoke of a great amount of time getting used to his powers. “If I may ask how much time did you require to figure it out?”
Humming noncommittally, eyes half-lidded, she carefully watched him as he ate to make sure he did not leave any food behind. It did not seem as if she should be concerned if the rapidly shrinking bread and draining soup bowl where anything to go by.
Blinking at his questions she offered him a smile and took a deep breath before she started to speak. “I do not mind question, so please feel free to ask anything in the future. The type of magic you are referring to would be Sleep; it is a type of Entropy magic. I am capable of wielding Entropy magic though not the same spells as you seem to know. I use Hexes which cripple foes and Draining which does exactly what the name suggests and drains energy from those it is cast upon. I also know how to use Electrical spells but that is as far as my training with the Primal school goes.”
“I suppose my main specialty would be Spirit Magic. I am capable of using Anti-Magic spells, Mana Alteration spells, and Death spells,” she said and then paused for a moment in thought, “Death spells are not quite as bad as one would imagine from the name. I cannot simply cast a spell and have someone drop dead instantaneously.”
Reaching up to tuck a loose strand of hair behind her ear she offered Constans a small smile. “You will learn about these spells from your mentor but feel free to ask me more about them or any types of magic you are curious about. As far as being Harrowed and what that means…” Cutting off the girl let out a deep sigh, eyes drifting shut, as she thought how best to explain. Shaking her head Lee decided that simplicity was probably best.
“Being a Harrowed mage means one has undergone the Harrowing which is a test that most apprentices will take. If you pass you become a full member of the Circle of Magi. If you do not succeed on your first try you are never granted another opportunity.”
