Re: Alienage Back Entrance
Dolain's warning was brutal, and she supposed it had been true enough for the elf. He believed it, and his voice betrayed nothing but conviction. Falina's experience had been entirely different. Not only had Cormac become the greatest friend of her life, but she'd met Alistair- a human who'd risked his life to rescue Faer and Jaden. A human, who'd thrown himself between crashing blades for not only for elves, but for strangers. Race had so little to do with it.
She shook her head firmly 'no', and then glanced back at Ordhan, offering him a quick smile. "I don't believe him. You have my back, and I'll look out for the back of your kneecaps." Falina scanned the crowd quickly for Cormac, wondering if he'd want to head into the market. Undoubtedly, she'd at least need to let him in on her forming plan, regardless of whether or not he wanted to participate. Cormac had already helped her out of a tight spot with some quick thinking and his surprising ability to improvise. Surely they could work together much in the same way they had at Gherlen's Pass.
The tirade had quickly faded from her memory, but the rather bitter words after piqued her curiousity. "-these people won't help you find the justice the alienage really needs."
"Justice?" Falina's brow furrowed, and she reached out to squeeze Ordhan's wrist, "Come with me?" She didn't pause for his answer, but knew to offer it. He wasn't secure enough to assume he was invited otherwise. Ordhan's faith was more reassuring than he probably realized, and she hoped that faith also extended to trust. She had taken Ordhan's warning very seriously, touched at how much he worried for her. Despite every concern, if Dolain knew something, they couldn't just let another lead slide from their grip. The dwarf jogged the few paces between Darrian and Dolain, "Hey, wait up." Not only was the armor restrictive, but her legs struggled to match their pace. "Dolain! What do you mean, 'justice'? Does this have something to do with last night?" When Dolain had left, he'd of course been angry, but also visibly affected by the letter. It was easy to forget the emotion and tension lining his features in the wake of his departure and attack on Trevor, but perhaps this was all connected. "Dolain- if it is, I want to help."
If he was angry, Dolain's ire would have been well earned. She'd snubbed him foolishly, without pause to consider that he might know something that she didn't. Falina looked frantically at Darrian, feeling that as a new acquantaince, he might be more inclined to help. "Darrian? I'm- there's a man in the market. If you're looking for someone in a rather specific trade... I'll help you find him... I just need to know what you know."
