The hand in hers was a strong comfort as Lalin tried to keep her mind from spinning away from here. Too many things were happening at once, but Faer's touch was grounding and helped her relax, just a little bit. Still, ever muscle in her body was clenched tight and even the news that Conlan and Faer didn't think they should chase after what may well turn out to be nothing at all wasn't enough for her to let go of the tension that was wound tight around her body. "I just wanted someone else to have an eye out," she said, giving Conlan a smile back. "And I didn't want to worry anyone else if it turned out to be nothing."
"If we find nothing here, than I would suggest we looked through the market for him. See if anyone else noticed him. But we have an actual lead here in the Alienage. I don't want to waste it on a wild goose chase." She looked out over there group for a moment before frowning. They were just too big to get any real detective work done. News of their arrival was probably spread through the entire Alienage by now. That could be a problem. A well armed group with elves would have been excepted. The fact that the elves were armed as well would set off alarm bells with their slavers. Lalin bit on her lip, worrying it between her teeth. There were just too many variables to know anything for sure.
Lalin looked at their group again and frowned. Davin and Falina were missing. "Where did-?" she asked, before setting her eyes on them. Falina's small frame was easy to pick out and if that was Falina then... Yes, there was Davin as well. They looked to be speaking to two other elves. But who...? Lalin suddenly recognized Dolain and then Darrian as well. She didn't spare a moment wondering about what Darrian was doing with him. She thought the two despised each other. Suddenly, everything that had been bother her seemed distant and muffled. All she could feel was her annoyance and her anger.
She had trusted Dolain, stuck up for him, promised that he would not make trouble. It had been to convince the others that he was trustworthy, even with Falina's help. Then he went and threw it all away. First by shooting a defenseless human and then by proving he could not be relied on when he ran away in a rage. "Maker's Balls," she swore as she gently tugged her hand out of Faer's. "I'll be back in a moment..." she said, slightly distracted as she moved towards the foursome, taking Dolain's bow off her shoulder as she did so.
"Falina," she said, smiling at the girl without any idea at how her actions would have looked to the young Warden. "Davin," she said with another kind smile. She then greeted Darrian in the same way, with a smile and kindness. Then she turned her attention on Dolain. "And you," she said, anger clear in her voice. It just didn't seem to be Dolain's day. Two lovely women angry at him. And no one to blame but himself. Lalin took Dolain's bow in her hands, quickly made sure she had enough room so that she wouldn't hurt anyone but her intended target and then swung his own bow at his head. Not enough to seriously injure, of course. But certainly hard enough to hurt.
"You damn idiot!" she snapped, her face twisted in anger. "First you prove wrong everything I said about you and then you run off! Without your damned bow!" She shoved the weapon into his arms; his quiver then received the same treatment. "Dolain, I-" Lalin seemed at a loss for words as she stood there glaring at him. She just didn't have enough words to express how angry she was, how disappointed.
