Being a fool. Darrian felt his hands clenching into a fist, bitterness flooding him suddenly. It was easy for Dolain to say, especially since the boy had an entire gang at his beck and call to aid him against any shem that ever bothered him. He had never been through what he had suffered, or even what he had seen, which was at times almost worse, knowing he had been unable to help any of the other elves in his situation. But how could he have, when his own escape had been such an extreme stroke of luck? An angry retort rose to his lips, heated words that would have spilled out of him without restraint - and then Falina appeared.
Dolain turned around at the shout of his name. His eyes widened as his gaze landed upon the female dwarf from the party. So the group was here already? He glanced around the alienage before bringing his attention back to Falina. Dolain began towards her, not bothering to check if Darrian was following.
While Dolain walked over, Darrian glanced at the dwarf and the words died on his lips as he simply stared. He had been looking for things out of place in the alienage, and the girl certainly fit the description. Smaller even than the elves, she was absolutely tiny, but she wasn't a child, her eyes window into a soul that had seen enough of life to have lost enough innocence to be considered an adult. She was also beautiful, but the question that nagged at him was one - where had Dolain met a dwarf and where was his hatred for other races now?
Dolain sauntered up to Falina, putting his hands in the pockets of his cape, "Imagine seeing you here." He offered as a greeting to the Warden with a strained smile upon his lips, "The rest here as well?" Dolain assumed so, straining now to try and see around the sharp corners of the Alienage. It was difficult since they were still near the tucked away back entrance. He thought about the whole party being inside the alienage. What a stir that would be causing... He would have to explain when he met up with his second in command and Shiv.
