It was here he noticed the slinking away of his current...lover? Mate? He didn't know what to call her and, instead, just went by her name: Lalin Adain. She had slipped from the group and blended in with the shadows, going about her own business as Faer was able to keep track of her for just a few seconds before he lost sight of her. The Dalish mage considered going after her, unsure if he liked the idea of her wandering around the city that obviously mirrored nothing of the trust and friendship in his clan, but was hit with the notion that she was actually from Denerim. The Alienage, to be precise and if anyone knew how to get around the city unharmed, it was probably her.
As general chatter and clinking of what sounded like an armory filled Faer's mind, he and his companions made their way to the entrance of the Alienage, once again accompanied by Ordhan and Lalin on their way there. The Knight was the one who seemingly led the way as it seemed either no one wanted to make the first move or, as in the Dalish's case, wasn't comfortable enough in such a turf that was unfamiliar. He wasn't necessarily scared, nor skittish in the matter, but he was making sure to take in everything that was happening around him, observing and perceiving all aspects of the city as he wondered if he would ever get used to the sound of constant talking. And soon, they were given leeway into the Alienage and Faer was caught with a sight even more unimpressive with even more battered buildings, even more dirt and even less trees -- with, of course, the exception of the large one that looked to be thousands of years old, located right in the center of the area. For a moment, Faer admired it as he does everything that had such an affinity with nature.
He was in the middle of gawking at this tree when a sudden pull of his arm jerked his head towards Lalin, who had taken his hand and was now leading him to the side, joined with Conlan and Ordhan. She spoke lightly as she tightened her grip around his hand and he returned the favor, a sort of appreciation to the bravery she was showing as the words of Tevinter slaving had passed from her mouth. When she fell silent, there was a second of hesitation where Faer took a deep breath, considering the situation and his words before he spoke, looking at the three of them with stern eyes though his voice was just above a whisper, "I am not sure how to perceive this situation, I am far from the likes of Denerim and it's Alienage, but..." he paused again, mostly out of nervousness rather than anything else, "I believe the best bet is to just look around for now. Shady business will come off as just that, shady; if we are looking hard enough, could be that we will find some sort of clue if we watch for it." His eyes traveled from each of the three companions, but the last of his words landed on Lalin and her worried expression made him smile softly to her, trying to comfort her as he knew that this must not have been an easy thing.
