Noa watched eagerly as her master spoke with the woman who looked to keep her distance. Coming across new people was, but lately they had been finding more darkspawn than allies, so the Mabari was understandably excited to see friendly faces that didn't smell like death. But the woman didn't seem nearly as excited as she was. What had she done? It wasn't often that she came across non-threatening people that were afraid of her. Wasn't she inviting and adorable? Noa moved to inspect at first but was gently castigated by Coan before she could get very far. When he left to speak with the woman, Noa sat, watched and waited. And whined. Though lately her whining hadn't been getting the job done as it had not too long before. The reason for this was something she would have to investigate later.
When she saw Coan look back at her she got excited, but quickly returned to her pitiful, deflated posture when she wasn't called for. All she wanted was to meet these new people. A rub to her muzzle, maybe a few for her belly, was that so much to ask? The younger man that was with her seemed interested enough, but Noa took no chance in approaching him, not willing to risk her master's rebuke. So she sat, the brisk wagging of her tail giving away her anxiety as she waited for any sort of clearance for her to be her usual spoiled self.
When finally the older mage looked to address her directly, she was excited for just a moment before the situation became clear. If she could have pouted, she would have, but that was hardly necessary when she already had sad puppy features. Seeming to huff, Noa slumped down to the ground flat on her belly, her muzzle tucked between her forelegs to show the mage she understood very well, but she wasn't happy about it!
