The Warden glanced away, eyes averted even as she conceded to his request. It was obvious that she did not relish the thought, nor the subject. Ordhan inclined his head gratefully. It had been a harsh demand, one he was loathe to make. He was certain it was both justified and needed, but he knew as well that to promise any action against a friend (or more than a friend, as it had once been) was not something lightly done. It would ease his mind, at least, if only a little.
"I will trust your judgment," he replied solemnly. Some minutes had passed, and a stir amongst the group said that the time for rest was over. The knight lifted one fist across his chest in a salute as he bowed his head again. "We had best rejoin the others. Thank you, Warden." By now, the title did not seem so ill-fitting. Lalin was no longer simply a recruit just past initiation, at least in his eyes.
