Thais’ hopes vanished the second that she saw the posture of the templar become more tense and his attitude angered. She had been completely off in her assumption that being meek would help in the situation. The innocent mischievousness disappeared form the woman’s expression and she held her shoulders back in a clear change of composure. Her gaze snapped over to Constans as the apprentice only mocked the templar. She wanted to tell him to shut his mouth, but restrained herself for the moment. The young woman tried to ignore the quickened pace of her blood from having been caught. As Tobi’s hand clenched at the hilt of the sword, she slowly became aware that the reality of being caught was going to be quite a lot less amusing than it seemed it could have been.
How could they had been caught? She brought a sharp glare at Constans at the thought, almost snapping at him but realizing it would probably anger the templar further. This was all Constans’ fault, it had been his job to find a secure location in this accursed tower. All they had wanted was some privacy for good-natured fun. Thais tried her best to remind herself that saying so to the templar would not help but instead she should focus more efforts in the Libertarian forces.
With an indignant expression clearly meant for the apprentice, she looked away from Constans. She brought a hand to her hair, attempting to fix the mess that had been created amongst the wavy curls. Thais looked to the templar with an attitude that made it clear her distaste for the whole situation, “Leaving?” She glanced at the sword, “Where to?”
