Aurin rode because if he had walked in armor it would have taken twice as long to get this arm. He would have sunk in the mud, he would have complained more than he already had. He would have had sores on his feet instead of on his arse. Now if they had asked him he would have been perfectly happy to show any of them that were curious about just how to ride. His horse however was busy as it carried him and his armored self towards what he hoped was some kind of interesting confrontation. The sound that was carried to his ears after a moment showed him that he was not alone in his advance. A smirk crossed his face as he looked over his shoulder to see his…friend…or at least fellow Templar coming up behind him. “Decided to join me on my little expedition did you, Alderic?” He called in a cheerful enough voice towards the other man in armor.
He turned back to the incoming encounter as he closed on the tent, slowing his horse as he went. One hand reached up to touch the hilt of the massive sword that lay across his broad back. It was a gesture to simply reassure himself that it was there. Sharp eyes snapped their way around the clearing, up into the trees and around. The sound of his beats hooves as he crushed through the fragments left as a warning system was loud in the quiet of the forest.
A trap or was it a simple precaution?
A small frown started to tug on his lips, the memory of a camp like this one pulled at the edges of his mind like a wild butterfly. “…I’ve seen something like this warning system before…and…” He paused a moment longer before adding. “…and…I’m starting to get a headache I think…”
That would be when the sudden song began in the boughs above him.
It took him a very few moments to pinpoint where that voice was singing from, and just who was doing that singing. His hand had half-drawn the great sword from its place by that time, and he forced himself to relax once again and let the weapon find its home once again. “Yes.” He confirmed. “Yes I’m /definitely/ getting a headache. Maker preserve us all, it’s a Dee.” However despite his words his lips twitched up into a smile for a moment before he shakes his own head. “Yes. Blood mages are hiding here somewhere, and I’m going to burn down the entire forest to find them.” He replied dryly towards her. “Alderic here decided to come along so I only burn the /bad/ heathens.” He added with a smirk as he looked over his shoulder towards the other Templar. “You haven’t seen any have you? Just lurking about where I can test their flammability? I know just how much they love to chase you.”
