Luka stared at the boy, wondering what it is that he had said to make him react in such a way. He had smiply said good morning. That couldn't possibly be an insult, could it. "I didn't..." he started, before the little girl interrupted him and went off "You aren't," he tried to start again, but she wasn't having any of it and stomped off, taking the boy with her. Luka let them go for all of ten seconds before he jumped across the vegetable rows, knowing if he stepped on them Cook would murder him and hide the body, and ran to stand in front of them, stopping their progress.
"I'm not sure what I said or did to insult you so but I am very sorry," he said gravely. "You didn't intterupt me and I'm not busy." He looked around at the garden in which he had been standing and gave them a look that clearly said "Duh". He had been miserably kicking rocks about, after all. Clearly important work. Of course. "I just... I don't usually like people I don't know," he said, a little sheepishly, knowing that it wasn't a very good reason to run away right after he had been introduced. "I'm sorry if I insulted you with my behavor," he added, with a bow and a severe look that made him look decades older or a little boy pretend to be decades older. It was a bit hard to tell.
