Jill took the arrows, turning briefly to stow them in the holster at the saddle. Salma shifted her feet, appearing a little restless. Jill patted her side, feeling a twinge of guilt for not removing her saddle and making her more comfortable. But as soon as the response came, they would have to be off again. She would rub the horse down later, when they made camp for the night.
"I have only worked for Ferg...the Teyrn for a few months," she replied, glancing at Cormac, but then looking back at Salma again. "But yeah, I was in Gwaren, um, a few weeks ago? Last month maybe." She shrugged, dragging a hand through her hair, making the curls she had tamed before, stand out wildly again.
"It was a pretty long, rough ride. But the town was nice," she said thoughtfully, with a soft smile. "Smelt of fish and the sea."
